Velo Algarve is a delivery-only road bike rental service based in Lagos, Portugal, founded by Brad and Juli Dalli. The model is built around one idea: race-quality carbon road bikes, including a flagship CervĂ©lo Soloist, delivered directly to a cyclist’s accommodation anywhere in the Algarve. No storefront, no shop queue. A pre-fitted bike at the door with a Garmin loaded with curated GPX routes and a fully stocked saddle bag. Fleet replaced annually. Serviced to professional standards.
The customer is a serious cyclist – typically from the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, or Scandinavia – flying to Faro for a dedicated training bloc in February, March, or April. This is not a leisure hire operation and the brand cannot afford to communicate like one.
The Challenge
Velo Algarve launched into a competitive market with an established local rental scene and a broader digital landscape dominated by aggregator travel sites and generic directories. The core challenge was clear: build a brand and an online presence that speaks directly to a serious cyclist, earns trust before they ever contact the business, and converts at a higher rate than anything else in the market.
